Since the submission of the competition is earlier than the project assignment's submission, I have thought of the storyline which I would put the focus of the story in the main 5 pages that I'll be submitting. And in hopes of getting the primary research done before that as well.

For my primary research, I've interviewed 2 candidate that is suitable for the book. The candidates are aimed to be in the early stage of teen, so about 12 or 13 and above where they would still have a clearer understanding of their emotions when they are younger and better verbal communication skills when interpreting their thoughts.

  1. Tarnia is aged 15, her personality is more outspoken due to her surroundings, she's an only child in the family which you could say got more attention than an average child.

The interview sheet will be collecting the color they think of during certain situations, and for this is when what color does she think of when she think about bottling up her emotions.

Moving into another sheet, it asked what color comes to her mind when releasing her emotions.

The next interview sheet shows or explains how her emotion looks like when bottling up and releasing or she might say explode. Her answer when talking about releasing her emotion is she had always been direct with her emotions, and usually speaks her mind whenever she felt like she need to.

2. The second candidate we have Chloe, age 13, same as Tarnia a single child in the family, but her father isn't always by her side due to work-related matters, only her mother and grandmother stay together with her. Her mother works so is pretty much rarely home in the day. When interviewing her she stated she kept most of her feelings to herself for the reason that her mother and grandmother would turn her thoughts into a "lecture" instead of just comforting and listening to her problems.

Here color palettes are lighter, which somehow indicates her gentleness.

When releasing her emotion, her colors are different than the ones when bottling up. Which is more soothing, in a way tells how much she yearns to be listened to.

Here you can see her emotions when in a normal space

She picked the closed bottle on instead of the one uncorked since it is the one that she relates most to when talking about releasing them, she would wait till the point of overflowing, or she would choose to not speak about it at all.
