Seems like we're getting closer to the end when the word 'GRADUATION' is in one of the course's name. And with that, no time left for playing or partying around, the end is near! As a designer, we get to learn about different skills and mediums, but having particular skills doesn't fully conclude what make's a designer a designer.

To kick start the semester, we were briefed about our projects, and no doubt a whiff of concussion hits me, but I came back to life cause we were told to write down what's a Graphic Designer to us? And with different answer's popping up, each and every one of them I do agree. For my answer, I've put "A Graphic Designer is a self-torture profession that people pursue." It's quite self-explanatory to the graphic designer's out there, the work we do is draining, we need to think and create ideas either for clients, observe, research, and overthink a lot of stuff, but, the drain is good, we somehow enjoyed the drain, maybe not during the pain part but the process of new findings and retrieving information that we never thought we would be exposed to. And the best part of it all is the sweet satisfaction of when it all came together, all the hard work has finally paid off.

Online Whiteboard we did during class

To get to understand ourselves more, we were assigned to do 3 test quizzes, each quiz represents a different type of personality in the ways we do our thing, sometimes we ought to know who we are as a person but it can be fun to know more about yourself.

Creative Type: The Artist

After the test, the first thing I saw was that pink character and I was speechless. But anyway, I got to agree with what was said in the results. I do enjoy speaking for others in terms of design, it gives me great satisfaction when the message they want successfully gets across to their audiences. But in times, my emotions tend to get the best of me, from the surroundings to the load of work, my emotions will steer my will to design into the dump instantly. The other thing that plays a huge role in my creative process is having the confidence to pitch in ideas, or just standing up for myself is still a challenge for me, and they really grasp that point. It was quite an experience reading through the result, it was overall accurate, I do think of all of them from time to time but never really put them into words, but wow, here's a summary just by doing a quiz.

Changemaker: Communicator

What do you know, the results for this quiz are quite similar to the first quiz. It says that my way of making the world a better place is to share and communicate with one another, and I fully support that. The world is confusing, we all have the right to voice out our opinions but we can't all agree with one answer only, but what we can do is understand each other's point of view and accept the fact that nobody can change their minds but themselves. And to understand each other is to communicate, to clear the cloud that blocking their sight, and I kinda thought that's the way to go in order to solve most of the problems.

16 personalities: INFJ-T

This is not the first time I took this test apparently, and each time I took the test I happen to get different personalities result, but the current result as you see is the latest one. And to thought, I got the rarest personality type was like winning a lottery.

Looking through the strengths and weaknesses, I found out that most of them were what I'm striving to become, especially the weaknesses. Wanting to be stronger than I could be, not showing any sign of vulnerability to anyone especially the one closest to you, these are facts.

For Advocates, money and Employee of the Month simply won’t cut it. These personalities want a career that fits their values and principles.

This line made me think a little, I do like money, a lot, but no matter how I put it, I somehow preferred to work with what I can contribute and at the same time improve myself, or even travel to learn new stuff, rather than sitting in an office doing repetitive work.

Looking through all the explanation, it all somewhat relates to each other, and looking back at works that I did, I was used to playing it save just to not get criticized but without stepping out of my comfort zone I'll never truly know how and where to improve, and never really know what I have to give cause of all the second guessing. So I guess it's time to go crazy huh?
