New semester = New Stresses! But it's also time to add in the improvement for the last project, and new things to come ... yayyy...:')
In this journal, we were told to answer some questions about the workshops we'll be having and our progress and thoughts in our next project!
- Based on the presentation and work from Part 1, what aspect of your work do you feel needs improvement?
The diversity of the surveyed audience. I think the demographic of the ages could be wider which means to get more perspective from older people with a more experienced and different mindset. I would want to improve my survey as well for I wasn't really firm with my objective at the beginning of the project, so I'll have to look into that as well.
-What are your initial ideas for the outcome of your envisioned information piece?
In the infographic that I did about Premarital sex, I make use of fruit to symbolize the different meaning of the info I've gathered from the survey. And the final outcome of the infographic is placed at a fruit stall. I want to make my Envisioned Information Piece (EIP) somewhat related to the fruit stall or at least related to fruits.

Miniature Fruit Stall
The idea of it is to create something interactive with the audience, where they can pick a fruit from the demographic basket that suits them and but it at the fruit column to pick their answer. Which also shows a data graph.
Vending Machine
So I wanted to make something like a personality tester, where the audience will answer some questions. Right after that, the machine will dispense a card that states their mindset about premarital sex, with some fruits to symbolize them.

Miniature Fruit Stall #2
Another idea I came up with the miniature Fruit stall is having the audience pick the fruits and checking out themselves at the cash register where they will pick the fruit they took, then the cash register will also dispense a card like the vending machine
does.
-What design processes excite you and why? (e.g. Silk-screening, 3D Modelling/Printing, Printmaking, AR/VR, Coding, Woodcarving, laser cutting, embroidery, Sculpture, Video editing, animation, etc...These are just examples if you have others that are not listed here please feel free to put it down and elaborate.)
I'm down with any workshop, but for now, from the sketches I did, I would say 3D Modeling/Printing, Sculpture, Wood carving, laser cutting, AR/VR, and Resin Casting.
- What don’t you know but need to for your project?
a. What skills might you need to develop?
b. What other information might you need?
c. How might you acquire these skills or requirements?
The skills I might need to develop is most probably coding if I ever wanted to do a set up that involves the manipulation of technology I would say it's pretty important.
What other Information that needs is to collect a new round of data that has a more diverse answer that includes the different age audience and their perspective in the topic.
With these skills and requirement, I'll get a clearer objective of the topic and with the skills involve I would get more inspiration in creating more example EIPs.
