T&T Part 2, Week 12&13: Project Tutorial & Progress

During this week, I focused on my project storyboard and narrating the script.

So after counting the most brought up words, I have now these words.

Judgment, Protection, Taboo, Religion, Mature, Naturally.

And with that, I also change the word to something more relatable, and I also took out the word taboo, since the topic is about taboo.

Choosing the fruits

1. Surroundings: Banana

Surroundings can affect a person significantly towards their thinking, so I managed to find a metaphor by using an unripe banana and a ripe banana. The way it works is that when you put the ripe banana beside the unripe banana, a type of gas is produced which is ethylene gas, and with that circulating the surrounding of the unripe banana it will ripen faster too. 2. Judgment: Oranges and Grapefruit

I chose these 2 fruits because of their similar appearance, but their content is completely different, the same goes for people that talk behind people's back. I want to symbolize that oranges are us, and the grapefruit is the people that give unwanted comments which would somewhat say they are bitter inside, cause they don't want people to be living freely with their choices and preference in sex.

3. Religion: Apple

An apple to symbolize religion because adam & eve used apple, but that was out of context, haha. But another reason why I chose an apple is the cause of the staining effect once a heavily color juiced fruit stains it. And so I used a knife to symbolize a partner, and a dragonfruit (the partner before you), that stained the knife will be transferred to the apple (you)when it was cut. After that, I will proceed to eat it, just to show that even if it's stained it's still edible, and being stained does not define a person.

4. Protection: Peach

A peach has a pit in it, which could symbolize a baby, so I wanted to point out the importance of protection during Premarital Sex, the responsibility it comes with when a mistake has been done. After cutting the peach in half, I would use a knife to cut out the pit which would create more indentation to show the trauma caused if ones are not careful with preventing such casualties.

5. Compatability: Strawberry

In the discussion, they said that sex happens naturally when love is involved. And to test out the compatibility between 2 lovers, they would nit-pick themselves, sacrificing themselves just to live up to their partner's standards. And so, the 2 strawberries symbolize the 2 lovers and one of the strawberries seeds will be nitpicked with a tweezer, and the other strawberries leaf will be plucked out.
