Co-exist, Week 4: Design Disruptors

The film really emphasize on what is product design and why it's so important. With also help me gain extra knowledge on what does product design do, and how it improves for the market and the people.

The 3 Key aspect that I find useful or interesting.

Create Designs that people can adapt easily.

At the start of our education of design we usually want to find our style our uniqueness in our art but as soon as you go deeper into design you'll realize you need to not only need to incorporate your needs into it, but also other's. To be a successful designer is to be able to design for everyone, helping them solve their problems. And to be able to let the user adapt to your design is an achievement to any designer for they have succeeded in winning their audiences usage on their designs.

Product Design are not Timeless.

Art is timeless cause it's used for visual satisfaction, so they can be put in museums. But product design is something that changes in ever era, and the latest the model the higher the recognition and the price. And what surprises me is the term itself, I never realize how true it is until they elaborate it which is the sole purpose of product design is to help solve problems and improve user experience but replacing them is not what came in mind when it obviously doing but not intentionally.

Product Designers are Problem Solver

I couldn't agree more with this. Ever since on apps like uber, lyft, dropbox, google drive and more came into the market, life did become easier. Less time spend on transport and online storage so people's life can proceed more efficiently. And cost is also saved for the internet has created new communication apps, so we won't have to rely on via SMS or phone call to contact someone. But aren’t this all programming? Yes, most of it, but for an average person to understand how to use the program, we need a simpler approach and that’s where designers come in, they design the layout, interface, user experience just so anyone can easily use it without a fuss.
